    The Civil Transactions Law is the cornerstone of the private legal system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, governing civil relationships between individuals. It ensures legal clarity, preserves personal rights, expedites dispute resolution, and promotes economic stability by establishing a consistent and business-friendly legal environment. The law was issued under Royal Decree No. (M/191) on 1444/11/29 AH and comes into effect 180 days after its publication on 1444/12/01 AH (corresponding to June 19, 2023). It covers a broad range of topics, including: persons, property and assets, personal rights, obligations, contracts, harm and compensation, incidental conditions on obligations, assignment and termination of obligations, various types of contracts, real rights, and final provisions.
